At Silverstone we are experts at deriving high-probability "transaction values" for our clients. And while we use many of the same valuation methods applied by business appraisers and accounting firms, our valuation work always frames and validates valuation outcomes in relation to real-world buyer-specific return on investment criteria and the buyer’s ability to finance the transaction. There is an incontestable nexus between what a company is worth and whether that value is achievable in respect to “market” return on investment criteria and financing thresholds.
Our valuation work is undertaken most often to establish business value relating to contemplated transactions, transfers of ownership, in the context of equity-based executive compensation programs and as advisors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and as expert witnesses.
